It is our desire first and foremost to have a God-centered church. It is a great privilege to know the living God (John 17:3) and to make Him known to others. Secondly, we desire to be a Christ-centered church: "that in all things HE [the Lord Jesus Christ] might have the preeminence [first place]" (Colossians 1:18). Therefore we preach Christ crucified, risen and coming again (1 Corinthians 11:26; 15:3-4). Thirdly, we desire, with God's help, to have a Gospel-preaching church. We want to proclaim to all men the good news that "Christ came into the world to save sinners" (1 Timothy 1:15) and that He is living today (Mark 16:6), and He is able to save to the uttermost all those who come unto God through Him (Hebrews 7:25; John 14:6). He is the only Saviour for "there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved" apart from the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth whom God raised from the dead (Acts 4:10-12). Fourthly, this church is a Bible-believing church and we encourage the people to bring their Bibles and to study their Bibles with a view towards believing and resting upon what God has said in His Word. The Lord is well-pleased when men and women, boys and girls simply take God at His Word and act upon what He has said (Hebrews 11:6). Fifth, we are a Bible-preaching church, entrusted with the same charge that was given to Timothy: "Preach the Word" (2 Timothy 4:1-2). As we make known the unsearchable riches of Christ it is our obligation to present carefully and clearly what God is saying to us today through His inspired Word. And finally, by the grace of God, we are a Bible-teaching church. As the Bible is rightly handled and accurately taught from Genesis to Revelation then God's people are able to learn God's truth and enjoy all that God has for them both now and for eternity.
